The students in my class learn best through exploring with their senses. The students in my class are multihandicapped. They are precious students aged 5-7 years old, nonverbal and in wheelchairs. The items I am requesting will help my students to develop basic skills by exploring textures, making comparisons and learning through their sense of touch. The students in my class receive instruction from physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Each student has unique needs and functions well below their same age peers. They require an alternative curriculum to meet all academic needs. The students are dependent on others for all their personal needs.
