The classroom is already structured for moving around and student choice. We have tables, desks, rugs, even a living room with couch and faux fireplace! Students love to be able to move around the room depending on their activity. They each even have a supply cup to help them be more mobile. Students in my classroom currently enjoy only one ball chair per table. The ball chairs are in hot demand and it would be great to offer students even more choices for seating in the classroom. They can choose whatever option works for them depending on the time of day, activity, and personal learning style. This project would fund more ball chairs, wobble stools, bubble cushions, fidget bands, and swivel seats for the classroom. This would offer students four more seating choices than they have now. This options would offer students more movement throughout their school day and help them focus more on their learning. Seating options also promote comfort and fun. These options will also assist students with special needs to have special seating without standing out. Flexible seating for everyone gives everyone the same beneifts and opportunities.
