This backup technology project will be a difference maker in my classroom. My students have been very responsible about bringing and charging their devices, but none of us are perfect. There are evenings that Chromebooks don't get charged at home. Many students are split between two homes and Chromebooks/chargers may be left, leaving that student without the supplies they need to be successful in the classroom the next day. We are in the 5th grade and are 10-11 years old learning the new normal of being dependent on our computer/technology for instruction. Three years ago, when a student walked into the room without a pencil and other supplies, I could easily help them be ready for the day by supplying them with those things. Today, when they walk in the room without their computer or with a 2% charged battery, I am unable to help meet their needs for the day. As a teacher, it is imperative that I be able to help my students be successful in any way that they need me to,
