My centers, especially those of reading, were not what I or my students wanted them to be this year. I was having trouble finding engaging activities that are fun and full of learning, but also are perfect without teacher guidance, so that I could be in small groups. My class also has a high percentage of ESLs, and the ESL game set would be absolutely perfect for the kiddos who need some extra support. I want my centers to be packed full of learning and pure enjoyment, the kids looking forward to them rather than it being just another part of our day - cooperative learning games will help make this happen! I have seen what games can do for students who need a little push and I want the opportunity to show my students that centers can be fun while also being beneficial. I know these games will be a winner in our classroom.
