I hope to purchase a durable, high-quality outdoor wireless speaker and agility cones so that all students, grades PK-5, can have a recess period that is structured around social distancing while full of fitness, fun and engagement. Current brain research correlates students' fitness levels with their academic success. This is so important now as teachers close the learning gap left from months at home during Spring 2020 and as social distancing in classrooms will not allow for much movement. Educators know about the power of play in increasing students' physical and emotional health and preparing their brains for learning. Now recess is more critical than ever before!

About my class
