Writer's workshop is a daily activity in our K-5 classrooms., and I teach or co-teach writing lessons in many classrooms. Before students write themselves, I read published books as examples. As we practice writing more and expand the writer's workshop into classrooms, I need a variety of published examples to share with students. These materials in this project will help me gain background knowledge to create engaging writer's workshop lessons. The picture books will be used as examples so students can learn from authentic, published books. For example, the book Mr. Fact and Miss Opinion will be used during our opinion writing unit.
