This set of novels will greatly impact how my students learn and will provide them with a relevant and interesting text, that will both challenge them and excite them. A List of Cages is a novel about two teenagers, who despite great adversity, find one another and forge an important bond. Many of the themes, like the struggle for acceptance, mental health issues, and family bonds, will resonate with my students and give them characters they can relate to. My goal is to make my students life-long readers. I want to help them find the joy in reading and this book will absolutely achieve this goal!
