As an ELA teacher, I love to provide my students with learning opportunities that involve student conversation. The idea of using round tables, instead of desks or rectangular tables, invites the students to work collaboratively and have great book discussions. The students currently are using desks, and when I have them gather into literature circles, or book discussion groups, it is always a cumbersome task of getting the desks arranged to fit that learning need. Having these tables will help cut down on lost classroom time of moving materials. The round tables will also help with the general flow of the room, keeping classroom movement much safer. Help my students become, Students of the Round Table!
