A quiet secluded reading area will enable my students to relax and read books at their grade level. Their love of reading will be enhanced when they are able to choose books that interest them at their grade level. The dividers will clearly outline the Book Nook and reading area. Students will be able to choose a book from the book shelf and read comfortably with limited outside distractions. It is very important to limit distractions especially when working with students with special needs as they tend to become easily distracted. I am a new teacher and would like to create a reading center within my room as the first project to create an environment that fosters learning and encourages a love of reading.
