My students are diverse,unique, gifted and passionate learners. Having this computer will give my students opportunities! Research shows that technology used with children in Special Ed classrooms are proving to be productive. It excites them, motivates them and most of all taps into their most natural way of learning. For individuals with autism, technology can improve communication, assist in the development of social skills, and enhance the ability to learn. Without consistent access to technology, my students are not able to demonstrate all of their academic abilities. I believe that they should not be held back because of lack of funds, but deserve to explore and learn on the same level as students who are typically developing. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
