I will allow students to use these items during centers and to take the items to their seat if they need to calm down.They will use these products to organize, create and communicate with each other. My students will be able to figure out problems in single and multi-step directions.They will begin to develop a more positive math disposition and tale ownership of their own learning. When I am teaching a lesson on phonics and it involves active participation of each student- I will be able to get a formative assessment just by looking at their work.It makes a difference when using manipulatives so the students will not see them as toys.
