I plan to use a nonfiction section of my classroom library to allow children exposure to that type of texts on their reading level. We will use them in many ways, but my favorite activity is having the children complete a project with their families showing what they have learned by reading a real-life book/texts. They will present these projects with their peers as well as an audience of the parents. They take great pride in completing the project and they are displayed outside of the classroom for all of the school to see.
