My students struggle with reading especially when making inferences or predictions. They do not like to read because they lack some of the foundations needed to be successful, confident readers. They also have few experiences with the greater world because they do not read about new places, people, or ideals. By using reading support software or applications, my students will be able to improve their reading skills at their own pace without the embarrassment of judgement from peers who may be reading at greater rates. My students enjoy playing games and using technology. Being able to assign practice using the tablets will aid my instruction and their learning!
