As a first year teacher, I want my classroom to have positive energy that will make all students comfortable and feel safe. My kiddos will be in a Transitional Kindergarten classroom and have various special needs. These students should have a bright and fun classroom to go to every single day. Every day, I will read books aloud for the students. The Elephant and Piggie book-set is a great start in getting students excited about reading! Using the Elephant and Piggie books can help to incorporate social emotional learning topics into the classroom such as: sharing, awareness of other's feelings, and being a good friend! These books are great for beginning readers and are enjoyable for anyone reading them! Flexible seats will be used during our classroom rotations and our morning / afternoon meetings. I want my students to be comfortable while they are exploring our classroom. By providing flexible seating to the students, it will help to ensure that they focused and ready to learn while still allowing them the comfort needed to make learning fun! Please help me to give my students the world!
