Every year I'm faced with the challenge of students who don't like to sit on the ever-so-hated standard hard blue chairs. It's not most of the class, but it's a few that prefer to stand because it is more comfortable to stand than to sit on seats of concrete. I believe every student deserves an opinion, and let's face it, they want to be comfortable while they learn! I chose the name "Princess and the Chair" because of the famous book "Princess and the Pea". The princess just couldn't get right until the pea was removed and only then could she sleep. Now, I'm not encouraging my students to sleep in class or anything. However, I do encourage my students to be as comfortable (in a non-distracting way) to enhance their learning experience! Thus, this project is going to provide 4 balance ball chairs for my royalty.
