I plan to use manipulatives and hands-on learning in my Kindergarten through 4th grade Special Education classroom to benefit my students. My classroom will be student-centered and I want to give my students access to different ways of learning. We will mostly be working on math, reading and writing strategies. Whiteboards, markers, and erasers are essential for teaching and learning math, as well as counters, connecting cubes, and games. Books, books, and BOOKS are essential for learning how to read and getting better at it! Some students struggle to stay focused throughout the day and I think flexible seating helps tremendously. I have 3 wobble stools on my wish list to help those students stay focused. Thank you for supporting my growing classroom!
