My project is moving from a traditional structured classroom to a desk-less, flexible classroom. This rug will allow one of the choices for my students. Students love to make choices for themselves! They also need to stretch and move along the way. This colorful rug will be inviting and allow students to select a place they can stretch out while working in small groups, independently reading or working on other projects. The square pattern will allow students to have a designated space to sit during whole group instruction. By giving the students the freedom to choose where they work, they will develop ownership in their learning.
