The floor seats will not only allow my students to comfortably read around the classroom, but encourage creative teamwork. My plan is to create an inviting space for the students to sit around a table lowered to the ground while using their floor seats. My students are always up out of their desks around the room working independently, with partners, and small groups at multiple different areas. By incorporating this new flexible seating option in my classroom, the students will be more motivated to learn, more engaged in the activity, and have a choice of where they want to sit. From past experiences, I have noticed great improvement in student work when they are able to get up and pick where they want to sit. Flexible seating options will keep my students hard at work, motivated, and engaged in all aspects of learning! The products I have selected will give my students additional seating options for independent work and group work as well. These floor seats can be easily moved around the room and used at a table lowered closer to the ground. These seats will also be extremely helpful for students that need to sprawl out on the ground or take a break from their chair. These floor chairs will create so much excitement for my 1st graders!
