It is so important for students to know what has gone on in history around our world. So many times, our students do not know huge historical events that have happened. These books will give my students a chance to read about these true events and talk with their book clubs about their effects on our world. We will use these non-fiction texts with current historical fiction texts that we already have on the same topic.l Students will be in book clubs (smaller groups within the classroom) discussing the differences of the historical fiction and the non-fiction books. We will discuss how these events have changed our world. We will use the 12x12 organization items to keep each book club organized.
