I teach both a visual art elective and media information skills class as well as am the coordinator for our high-ability gifted program. I teach the students in visual arts the basics of photo composition with a variety of projects. In media, we study the power of images in society and create our own projects. I am also starting a Makerspace in the library to encourage students to challenge themselves to grow in areas of their own interest. Cameras could play a large role for my students interested in tech or photography. We currently have only 3 working cameras and the students wait and share the few between them. Adding 6 cameras would greatly increase the amount of time the students have access.
