"In special education hard work, persistence, and confidence prove a label is only a means of receiving the tools and resources needed to reach maximum success." ~author unknown As a new teacher, I want to be able to provide choices to my students in how they choose to learn in my classroom. Like any classroom, students need room and the ability to get their wiggles out, get comfortable, and most importantly engage in learning. What does that mean? Flexible seating provides students different modalities of seating options to fit their unique learning styles. Seating can include bean bags, wobbly stools, bucket seats, or trays to allow the student to sit on the floor. No matter the style of seat, the purpose is to allow options to the students in how they learn best when seated. Help me provide this environment to my future students. Thank you!
