A classroom library is a focal point in many classrooms. In my classroom, it is part of our classroom that shows our love of reading. My students need to feel like they can always find a book to read at any time. Students also need to have a variety of books that show different interests through topics and characters. These books will allow my students to read different types of books that I do not currently have in my classroom. With these books, my students will be able to select books based on their interests while also being exposed to important topics related to diversity. The most important thing for our classroom library is that it continues to show the diversity of the world, and with these books, my students will be able to learn and grow on the topics of inequalities and standing up for themselves and others. It's important that my students see books in our classroom library that teach diversity. Also, with my students coming from diverse backgrounds, seeing themselves represented in the books that are in our classroom library. My students love to read and learn from their readings. These books will help them continue to build on this love!
