I am one of three speech-language pathologists at Crossroads Transition Center. We serve young adults with disabilities, helping them learn life skills, develop self-determination, and seek employment. Our students cover a broad range of abilities, but many of them rely on alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) to communicate. Nothing brings me more joy than watching a non-speaking student realize that they can successfully share ideas using their communication device. ALL students deserve a voice.
