My first grade students have such a desire to learn to read. About 75% come from low-income homes where they do not have access to books or other reading materials. The classroom is their only place to develop a love for reading. Students have the right to be able to experience reading in fun, exciting ways. These materials will give them the chance to do just that. They will make their reading centers full of fun experiences while also continuing to provide much needed support in working independently throughout their reading experiences.
