Today's students are confident and feel empowered when it comes to technology, apps, and drawing on tablets/devices. In school counseling having the resource of an Ipad Air for the students will allow them to draw on the screen, write notes and share them with me in a secure space. The students will be able to work through art therapy exercises, self-talk activities, and practice speaking to themselves lives via the camera function on the Ipad Air. The possibilities and connections are truly limitless with the advancements in technology. My communication with parents and attaining and tracking permission slips for group and individual counseling will also benefit from having an Ipad Air. Broadening the resources available to the students allows for a well-rounded counseling session and increases the rapport and efficacy of the rapport with the students. An Ipad Air allows the counseling session to be mobile and take place when and where it needs to!
