In first grade there is major focus on addition and subtraction. Having these ten frames will allow my students to fully engage in hands on learning while having a visual to fully grasp the concept. Having these paddles and place value centers will make such a difference in my students everyday learning. During math instruction we often use small groups which allows me to reach and support students with varying needs. My kiddos love to use manipulative’s which reinforce the math objectives in the many different ways of adding and subtracting numbers one through twenty. My students will love having these tools and it will influence a positive math experience.
