Students don’t always come to me willing to read or able to read on grade level. This project will fund books that are age-appropriate or a little challenging for my third grade students that I can recommend for reading. This is important as I do not currently have a classroom library. This project will also fund a subscription to StoryWorks Jr. that will be used for extra literacy support. I plan to use this subscription in small-group sessions to focus on areas of weakness to build my students’ confidence and skills in reading with interesting and interactive texts that I feel this resource will provide.
