Children are not made to stay still and their classroom should reflect that need for movement. These flexible seating options will help my students achieve the sensory input that they developmentally need to be able to focus on their learning, collaborate with their peers, and dive into the novels that we will be exploring this year. My students are largely from minority and low income populations and have their share of challenges outside of schools and deserve a safe place to come every day to relax, feel safe and appreciated, and focus on learning without any other challenges distracting them. I look forward to providing a space where my students can let go of their challenges and jump into their journey to college!
