An average childs attention span is 3 minutes. Because of this, keeping students engaged in reading has become more difficult over the years. By introducing reading and literacy games into my daily small groups would provide my students with resources that will keep them engaged and help them read! My students have developed a passion for reading and my goal is to foster that love and help it grow, these games will allow me to give them daily time to interact with their peers and build literacy skills in a way that will keep them entertained and engaged! My students love playing games and I have incorporated several math games into our small group sessions and would love to do the same with our literacy small groups as well!
