I am a DIY teacher and I often display my craft projects on my bulletin boards, inside my classroom and on my classroom door. My students fall in love with the way I display their work and often ask me if I can show them how to create some of the crafts I do. Some crafts that are on a larger scale I ask students to assist me with and it makes them apart of the project which they enjoy. Then they can say I helped to create that. My students and other students and teachers in the school are always asking me to show them how I make paper flowers. Some students ask me to come up during lunch to learn how to make paper flowers or engage in other crafts. On my personal time I paint on canvases and I bring my painted canvas' to display in my classroom and the students are fascinated by them. I asked my principal if we could do something where the students would be able to paint their own canvas' and create their own flowers and take them home but often times obtaining the supplies for such activities are not with-in the schools budget. We have limited colored paper or card-stock we don't have glue guns or glue sticks for putting crafts together. There is no money for canvas' and the gallons of paint are so old they are not useful. So I am hoping that with this donation I can make my students happy and teach them a skill they can do on their own and hopefully teach others someday.
