These materials will help my students express what they think and how they feel about the novels they are reading which will also increase their test scores. We read novels regularly in our classroom. It takes us about a month in a half to read one novel. Before during and after the novel is read we have several art activities to support the student's comprehension. Ninety percent of my classroom population is second English learners. Art and creative activities assist them when they cannot express themselves using words. Having more reading material available will increase their ability to read write and express themselves.
