Standard classroom furniture such as plastic and metal or wooden desks are disliked by middle school students and extremely difficult to produce quality work from while sitting. This age group of children need to be free to move around a bit more than standard desks allow. Donations of soft and cushy furniture and Google Cardboards will be most useful in my seventh grade classroom; these items will be used to help students learn in a place of comfort. Google Cardboards will allow for students to use their smartphones in class in a positive way! They will provide visual stimulation through virtual field trips to places that many of the students have learned and read about within the state's standards!
