I am creating this DonorsChoose.org for my behavior resource classroom for the 2019-2020 school year. The students that I work with struggle with managing their emotions and need extra support to increase positive behaviors. My room will be utilized as a work completion, social skills class and an area to deescalate behaviors. Many of my students are diagnosed with ADHD and need many accommodations to help them be successful, which is where the flexible seating will come in. Students will have a wide variety of seating to increase movement and focus while working. The students will be able to choose either a wobble stool, exercise ball, fidget foot bands, bubble seat cushions, or a lap desk to complete the work that their homeroom teachers send with them. My class picture shows just an example of a collaborative social skills activity that I have completed with my students! They were learning about empathy.
