My students deserve the opportunity to have many fun and engaging activities in Physical Education class. With these life-size games that I've selected for this project, my students will be given the opportunity to be creative, work collaboratively, and enhance their social skills. I strive to allow students in my class to learn new skills through small group instruction, similar to ways they're used to learning in the classroom. With these life-size games, it will allow me to have different stations available while I focus on a particular skill with my small group. It is important to give my students multiple opportunities for success in physical education so they will continue to be life-long learners and life-long movers. Through this project, my students will gain a variety of large-scale games and activities that they can work cooperatively to engage with. For example, the Giant Bowling set will allow my students to practice gross motor skills while simultaneously practicing math facts by subtracting from 10 as they knock the pins down. The Giant 4 In a Row game will introduce strategic thought and planning to my students. Finally, the Giant Tumbling Timbers game allows students to work on fine motor skills and communication with their peers. All of these games allow my students to also practice being graceful winners and losers which is something I continually am emphasizing throughout the school year.
