The rug, chairs, and lamps we are asking for will help to create a comfortable and calm place to help students learn to regulate their emotions. The room this equipment has been used in has historically been a location where students were sent when they have been a behavior challenge in the classroom. We are working to shift this room to help support students in learning to regulate their emotions. Giving students a safe and inviting space to regulate their emotions will help them both academically and behaviorally long-term. Through this process and social emotional supports, students will be able to start self-regulating their emotions, which will help to reduce classroom disruptions throughout the year. The products selected will give a comfortable and inviting environment, while also being easy to keep clean and sanitary. Thanks!
