These materials will teach students higher-order thinking skills by allowing them to make choices and encourages them to find the best spot to stay calm, focused, and productive. Flexible seating allows children to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, and moving around is something we all need to do, even as adults. This will increase oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow, and core strength. These flexible seating options stimulates students’ sense of touch and this type of stimulation can help children stay focus and process information. This sensory input is especially helpful for students with ADHD, ADD, and ASD.
