In music, We teach much more than just notes and rhythms. We also teach good posture, with our feet on flat on the floor to "anchor" our bodies for good singing or instrument playing. The current chairs in the music room are not suitable for little bodies and the youngest of my students are currently sitting on cushions on the floor. Appropriate seating for my elementary music students allows for a safe, secure learning environment within the music classroom. This seating option will provide an alternative to floor sitting, and allow for good sitting position for singing and learning music.
