Help my English II students prepare for the exam in April! Learners will use their personalized journals to write responses to essay-based questions, similar to what they may see on the test. They'll be able to see and track their progress as writers over-time. Sometimes the prompts may be silly- would you rather have spaghetti hair or sweat maple syrup- and sometimes their about our reading, or feelings. We use PlayDoh (which smells like 2nd grade) to sculpt vocabulary, scenes from a novella, or even to craft word clouds. And who doesn't feel better when their thoughts simmer and their pencils becomes a pretzel. Please help me help my students, create your new favorite author, or simply help a unknown friend get through the day.
