My students are especially drawn to humorous literature and many love learning about places other than our small north Texas town. With the Mac B. Kid Spy books, I can help support my students in reading connected text, while they practice newly learned skills. This book series will also enhance their geographical knowledge at the same time. According to Common Sense media, Mac Barnett, author, is known as an advocate for getting boys (and I am sure girls) more interested in reading and is acclaimed for his many popular picture books, including Sam and Dave Dig a Hole and Extra Yarn, which won Caldecott Honors.
