My students are in an integrated pre-k classroom. I have the special education kids. I want them to access the same curriculum, the same same standards that their typical peers access. I have a student who runs on high octane, always bounces, and his eyes dart from sound to sound. I need to get him a weighted vest and some better learning manipulatives to engage with. He can not sit down and listen to a teacher for an extended period of time, not yet anyway. I have another student who is so smart but socially has difficulty engaging with his peers. I want to get some educational games and toys that will bring him closer to his peers, something that he can work on in a group. I want his peers to see how smart he is, his strengths... but I need some more engaging resources. I have a little girl who learns better touching things and hearing things. The speaking letters that I have requested would go straight to her. Well, I can't lie, I might play with it too but I promise to share. Thanks for anything you give, I am sure you understand how difficult it is being a Special Education teacher of little kids in the city. It all helps tremendously.
