Due to multiple unfortunate situations (inheriting a program with debt and old computers), my Lead Designer has had to bring in her own Mac this entire year to help design the Yearbook. We were able to make it through the year, but with her graduating and the new Lead Designer lacking a computer, we find ourselves between a rock and a metaphorical technological hard place. The lead designer is the life blood of our program. They meet with parents and help design ads for their kids. They create the theme and design aspects that are found on each page of the Yearbook and Newspaper. It's difficult to imagine us growing our program without at least one computer that has the capability and memory to design. I've tried to be as frugal as possible, personally buying a laptop cart and some older desktops. But this is one thing I need help with purchasing to grow my program.
