In all of our classes we have been learning about sustainability and creating a better future. Our teaching staff has worked to create cross curricular lessons about sustainability to encourage students to give to the earth, as well as how to contribute to their future in a prosperous way. These garden materials will help provide the resources to teach the necessary skills to grow a sustainable future in the hearts and minds of our community's next generation. They will be able to learn about how a city is sustainable in Science, they will learn how to plot grids through Math, the history and civics of sustainability through Social Studies, and how to write practice and write about activism in English. Additionally a community vegetable garden allows students to learn how to nourish and grow their bodies in a positive way, while participating in hands on sustainable activities.
