I am requesting supplies and materials to support my guided reading and literacy centers blocks. Every day, I teach targeted reading skills to rotating small groups, while the rest of my students work on literacy centers (such as sight word games, creative writing, independent reading, etc.) independently. To make sure my students are engaged during centers time, I want to ensure that our independent work materials are varied, high-quality, and fun. Students will love using the sight word swat games while learning essential high-frequency words, they will use clipboards to write around the room, and they will use flash cards to teach and quiz each other. I am also requesting a small laminator because I don't have one at my school, and this will help me make sure that the centers games and activities that I make myself will last throughout the year. Items like the tabletop dry erase board and dry erase dots will help my students learn during their guided reading small group. Finally, items such as the paper trays, baskets, tote bags, and book bins will help keep all of our materials organized and help students access them independently. I am excited to help my students foster a love of learning and reading during this block, and I'm grateful for any support you can provide!
