Maintaining focus throughout the day in third grade can be a challenge. Third grade can be one of the most challenging transitions for children to make. Children are expected to pay more attention to reading, writing and math and spend a longer period of time attending to task. Giving children the opportunity to move while they learn has been proven to help children focus longer. These wobble stools are an interesting way to help all of the learners in my classroom pay attention. There are a variety of special needs in my room and meeting all of those needs can be a challenge. These stools will provide a way for all learners to remain engaged.
