Help me keep my students motivated throughout the day. Snacks throughout the day especially while taking long tests help them stay on task. Most of my students come from low income families and are often expressing their parents not being able to supply them with lunch or let alone snacks. Having snacks available and killing their hunger will take one thing less that they need to worry about. This way all their attention goes toward whatever task is being asked of them at their max capability. The snacks I am requesting will be a great asset for these students to stay motivated to finish their work. In my experience I have seen how many students often get discourage especially during long exams. When snacks are incorporated, I have seen that their energy and motivation really does improve. I have had kids about to give up and ready to hand in their test unfinished and when offered a gum, fruit snacks or a simple juice, their attitude completely changes.
