With the opportunity to read Scholastic News Weekly it has the potential to make a difference in my students' lives. These weekly readers could provide students with high interest topics, the much needed hook to get them reading and learning about the world around them. I plan to use these readers as we explore nonfiction writing. Students can also use these articles as a springboard to further research and present their learning to peers. Another option to further engagement is for students to share this learning with family members. As you can see Scholastic news is a window to exploration!
