In this special area of our classroom, students can browse, choose, and independently read titles from impeccably organized bookshelves, lounge on comfy furniture, or select a digital title on their devices using their laptop stands. The furniture I have requested will help create a magical, cozy Star Wars themed classroom library that says, "Books can take you far, far, far away!" Reader's choice will be emphasized as well as building stamina as a reader. Many 3rd Graders in our area have not had the opportunity to develop a love of reading. My goal, with your help, will be to create a space students remember as the place they "fell in love with reading."
