The teaching philosophy, Reggio Emilia, advocates the importance of the classroom environment for the learning of young children . In fact, the classroom environment is referred to as the third teacher. These supplies will expand the opportunity for children in my classroom to explore and manipulate materials for maximum learning. Children will use these materials everyday and learn how to care for the materials as well. For example, children will be able to explore properties of the world with the light table and construct buildings with the blocks. I cannot wait to see how these materials will enrich learning for the students!
