In a Montessori setting, we value both movement and focus as children learn with all modalities and senses. Independent work time is important and where learners are able to move around the room with the most choice and freedom. Community time is just as important, though, but proves to be much more difficult for those who are sensory-seeking or younger learners. The sensory seating and yoga balls I chose would be perfect seating choices for students who need alternative choices for sitting in restorative circle time or large group lessons. They would help students focus for longer and more peaceful periods of time.
