The books will give my students some updated material to use while also giving each one of them their own book to use. My students with Autism are struggling getting back into the swing of things. There have been some major sensory overload issues as well as a hard time getting used to being in the classroom all day. Giving them fidget toys will help them to stay focused. For the students that have a hard time staying awake, the desk extenders will help them to stay focused and awake by giving them an opportunity to stand up. All students learn differently, so giving my students a variety of tools and games to help learn is extremely important. I want to make sure my students have extra SEL this year and for years to follow as this is a huge problem in America. Our students struggle everyday with SEL and being able to supplement daily activities with different SEL activities will benefit everyone.
